There are many ways to get involved with student life during the International Foundation Program. Check out one of the programs listed below, or you can get involved with your local Student government, which offers a variety of positions available to incoming students. There are also lots of programs, student clubs, and other offerings you can get involved with, come to the International Programs Office to get more information.
The Conversation Club is offered by the International Foundation Program to students as an opportunity to practice their conversational English with upper-year University of Toronto student leaders. Conversation Club is offered as a small group learning opportunity in both semesters and meets for one hour per week.
IFP Mentorship Program
Students in IFP can also sign up for mentorship opportunities with current upper year University of Toronto students. This one on one mentorship opportunity sets aside dedicated time and space for students to explore the campus, talk about student life, and get to know a current student at the University of Toronto. Applications are available online and reviewed for the second semester of each year.
The International Foundation Program also hosts a variety of social, academic, health and wellness, and conference opportunities every year. Students in the program are invited by their instructors, student councils, and our Student Life Officer to engage in opportunities on and off campus to add to their university experience.
