  • have not, at some point, been out of secondary school for more than seven consecutive months.
  • have received or expect to receive your Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with six 4U/M courses at the end of the current year
  • have not attended a postsecondary (college/university/career college) institution

The program codes for the IFP are:

Faculty OUAC Code Campus
Arts & Sciences TUG SG: International Foundation Program
Applied Science & Engineering TUH SG: International Foundation Program
Architecture, Landscape & Design TUI SG: International Foundation Program
Music TZA SG: International Foundation Program

Important information for all applicants:

  • Please take careful consideration when selecting your major field of interest on the OUAC.
  • The program chosen when applying will determine your field of study after completion of the IFP.
  • It is often not possible to change programs after you have been admitted.
  • For example: students who apply for Life Sciences as their major field on their OUAC application will not be able to transfer into Applied Science and Engineering after completion of the IFP.

Students should expect to receive a confirmation e-mail from University of Toronto’s Admission and Awards roughly two weeks after the submission of their OUAC application.
